Machinery Exchange is a leading service provider to the Construction, Mining, Earthmoving and Agricultural Industries in Zimbabwe.

We offer a complete suite of products and services from the sales of spare parts and filters through our OEM, ITR, Sino Parts and Weichai brands, The rebuild of machines and components in our world class heavy workshops, Heavy Engineering repairs to Buckets, H Frames, Dump Boxes and Undercarriage as well as the sales and rental of a range of world class OEM brands – Rokbak, Bobcat, Wirtgen, Ciber, Hitachi, Shantui and Dumpy.

1954

Founded in 1954 as a Private Limited company, Machinery Exchange was inaugurated under the laws of Zimbabwe, with the purpose of trading aftermarket parts to the earthmoving industry.

2007

In 2007 the company was purchased by the current owners and merged with Universal Engineering to form an enlarged business with more services to offer its expanding earthmoving customer base.

2010

From 2010 the company expanded into full parts and equipment sales and distribution, by securing key dealerships with leading global brands. –

2023

From humble beginnings, Machinery Exchange has now expanded into a 9,000m2 facility with over 200 staff, branches in, Bulawayo and Hwange, and over 350 sold or rented equipment in the field.

BRANDS

CUSTORMER SUPPORT

The Customer Support Division is responsible for the after-sales support of all the equipment sold and rented into the field. This division prides itself on its commitment to supporting its customers with a comprehensive after-sales infrastructure, designed to improve equipment uptime while lowering total cost of ownership.

The Division has a fully equipped workshop where it handles all the repairs, maintenance and servicing, backed by a team of highly qualified diesel plant fitters and electricians to handle all possible faults and defects.

SALES AND RENTAL

The Sales & Rental Division has secured the distribution of the following reputable earthmoving and power generation brands for Zimbabwe, which customers can buy or rent on an hourly, daily or monthly basis: Shantui; Hitachi; Wirtgen; Rokbak Trucks; Bobcat; Cummins Power Generation.

DIVISIONS

ENGINEERING

The Engineering Division, with its team of highly experienced boilermakers, machinists, welders and undercarriage technicians, are able to repair and recondition buckets, h frames, swing levers, z bars and associated linkages, as well as machining of pins, bushes and line boring – both in the shop and on site. Furthermore, with its 200-ton track press offer rehabilitation and reconditioning of all undercarriage components, and field service repairs.

SPARE PARTS

The Spare Parts Division specialises in in the stocking and sale of OEM parts for all Machinery Exchange dealerships and aftermarket parts to cover a full range of other associated brand equipment, in addition to assisting customers with all their technical queries.

SPE also manages the dynamic “Wear Track Service” (WTS) which provides our customers further product support for their tracked machines. WTS offers customers undercarriage inspections accompanied with a detailed report on the state of their undercarriage. The program is run along the Engineering division who then provides repair of worn and fitment of new undercarriages.
